Lothian Lift and Shift was formed by Richard Mackie in 1994 primarily as as a lorry mounted crane haulage service. After operating for a number of years he identified a need for a service to fill in the gap where smaller plant and equipment just could not load a standard tipper lorry and he moved to buy a grab loader type of vehicle to do just this job, this service just fitted in perfectly with the many years of machine experience already gained by Richard in previous employment.

James Fraser joined the company in 2003 and has been an asset to the customer care and running of the company in this time.

In 2007 we introduced our extremely versatile hookloader / grab loader in to the business and with this we continue to grow from strength to strength in this competitive field
